Really good udon and rice. Really really cheap. Owner is funny guy and very welcoming. Would recommend 10/10. Shop is Namba one!
MoreReally good udon thats made even better because its so affordable. You get counter top seatings and watch the two chefs making the udon noodles. Its also a place that is frequented by businessmen and locals.
MoreCheap and delicious. An authentic place in the middle of all the chain-restaurants in Namba.
MoreGood
Very cheap udon, good option for budget meal. Taste just ok
Eat where the locals eat. You will never go wrong. Affordable and tasty. Shop is small, and uses the vending machine to order. Proceed to pass the order sheet to the chef and wait for your order. Your tummy and wallet will be eternally grateful after a whole day of shopping and walking
Morethe udon is what the local japanese eat!!the staff there are very nice as well
Happened to pass by after dinner and wanted to try. Both the udon and soba are delicious yet economic. We only paid 570 yen for tempura udon and seaweed soba.
MoreThis Udon restaurant is located in Ebisu Bashi. If you ride on Rapit rail you may ride off Nankai Namba station and you can find here easily. Many people use this street to go Dotonbori. By any chance, if you can not find there, find Starbucks coffee shop in there. This restaurant has long history in Dotonbori. Master chef has the pride of his Udon and other menu. Their main menu is Udon(menu name is kake udon which is basic of udon). They sell various type of Udon, for example curry udon, niku(meat) udon, and shrimp udon and so on. Because they open early, you can eat simple breakfast in there. If you trip in winter, warm Udon soup will give you energy for travel. Warm Udon soup is like Redbull for me.Thank you.
MoreVery good udon. No doubt for $200 yen for a udon. Must try. Much better than other famous restaurants
MoreAight you got me on this Chef Takemura. Your udon was bomb. Thanks for your hospitality.
MoreFriendly owner with reasonable prize. Love Namba Udon.
Came back again after visiting 5 years ago, quality of the udon soup is still amazingly good. The boss half jokingly said he has the best tofu udon soup in Osaka, and we honestly think it is up there, especially after considering the price point (240 yen). It opens at 7am whereas most places doesnt open till 11am, so it is a good place for breakfast if you have places to be.
Moreabsolutely disappointed by racial comments that I was told by the staff.
Local udon cheap and good service.
Proper price & tasty.
Yeah nah. Not bad
The price is so cheap and the taste is wonderful
We ate meat udon and tempura udon. Is good👍
Best Udon I’ve ever had. Quick, cheap and delicious
Nice udon and soba. Fast and economical meal for tourist and salary man alike. Nice retro feel of eating no frills noodles. They sell curry rice also with limited selection and tempura. Nice way to fill up temporarily while shopping and a nice way to eat something hot and soupy on a cold autumn evening in Osaka.
MoreA nondescript noodle bar serving freshly made udon, ramen and donburi. Prices are relatively cheap and dishes are served quickly and really delicious! Everything has a homemade feel to it as the chief cook, an old man, cooks the dishes quickly and expertly.I had an udon and donburi set which cost only ¥510, and that was enough to fill me up for the rest of the day!Located just opposite Starbucks on the right side of the EdiOn entrance. Give it a try!
MoreTiny udon restaurant - amazing food and very cheap.
I love this udon
Loved it!Friendly owner speaks multiple languages Great noodles I had Udon with meat and egg but it was a difficult choice ... going back tomorrow maybe
MoreNanba Udon is a legend place that you can eat Udon, soba, somen hot/cold versions in a cheap and delicious way! There is no worry to choose here to eat all the time. Their staff is so friendly and one of them can speak English fluently.
MoreBest udon
Vintage
Amazing experience in this little udon bar. I had the shrimp tempura udon. The broth was tasty and the noodles had a great texture. Excellent value for a delicious meal. Owner/chef was welcoming and explained to us our options in English. Will definitely be visiting again.
MoreBudget place to drop by if you're hungry. Service is okay, food is okay. Didn't feel anything special during my visit. Although amazingly the owner seems to have a good sense of humor and can speak a bit of English.
MoreVery japanese, very friendly stuff, very simple food and inexpensive
Value for money eatery, local noodle served, not to be missed!
Super cheap and affordable. Not the best udon you'll ever have but the guy cooking it is SUPER friendly!!
MoreDef a local’s haunt. It’s hard to find udon of this quality at such unbeatable prices. My curry udon was served quickly after I handed over my ticket. It was a bowl of comforting goodness, and it only cost me 320YEN.
MoreBeef noodle was fantastic! Onigiri also strongly recommend.
Personally, I think this place is overated. I went there because one of my travel buddy insisted that we eat there. The udon to me is pretty normal, nothing to shout about. However, the shop owner and chef is super friendly and makes you feel very welcomed
MoreSuch a beautiful time at this space. The owner and I dove in and out of Japanese and English as we talked about current affairs while I enjoyed his incredible food. The udon was rich and delicious, but the donburi was breathtaking. I had to learn how to make it at home afterwards!
MoreDelicious! Great breakfast option! Definitely worth it!
Noodles were subpar. Nor enough chew and was brittle. The service was great and the chef was friendly!
MoreThe Curry Udon is out of this world good! And only 350 Yen!! A must try for curry lovers!
MoreNice friendly boss and good udon. Nice busy atmosphere..
The cheapest udon I’ve eaten since coming here. You can get through here faster by dropping off at Namba station, the at B1 floor, you go through NanNan shopping area and make a bee line to E5 gate, there, you see this store. Have around 20 seats and not too crowded.
MoreOwner is very interesting and confident, I will recommend you to be here to enjoy local noodles! Also, the price is very acceptable 😀
MoreFirst bowl of udon on this trip. One of the workers there spoke a little English and helped us order. Good food and very friendly.
MoreCheap and delicious
Local, food was ok, good price.
Good value for money and offers an authentic experience in the middle of a tourist area.
MoreLoved eating here- this is a local gem, from the hard-working staff to the colorful, somewhat gritty interior, and the location so close to Namba station and Kuromon. I normally can’t stand udon (am a ramen person) but loved the #1 fried tofu udon bowl (¥240) for its simplicity and flavor. The sweet, savory broth served piping hot, slippery tender udon, and the sweet large tofu swollen with brothy goodness, all adorned with a shower of green onion. I added black and red chili powders from the tabletop containers and made the broth even more interesting. There’s self-serve water. Order at vending machine and wait for a seat at the counter. The gentleman behind the counter may make small talk with you, and I found him absolutely charming. Go here!
MoreChefs are very friendly and helpfull. Food was delicious and fresh. Also very cheap compares to surroundings
MoreAmazingly delicious handmade udon with a wide variety of ingredients. Ramen and donburi were great too, and super cheaply priced! Place is rather tiny, so grab a quick bite. Cash only (pay by machine).
